After my Raleigh Expedition in 2000, I spent some time
travelling through China and then down into Hong Kong.
At this time Hong Kong had just ceased being a British
colony, and the British influence was quite apparent.
It is quite a big Business centre and crossing the
border from China in to Hong Kong on the train there is
a big difference. Below are the photo galleries
from my 2000 and recent trip. Click on the picture

I have recently returned from another trip to Hong
Kong. This time, the weather was much better and I
had a friend to show me around. It is amazing how
much has changed in the last 5 years, as you can see
from comparing the two pictures above, Hong Kong has got
a lot bigger and taller. Thank you very much to my
friend Kwan who gave up so much of her time to show me
around, and to help make this a fantastic trip. |
